OUR ADVOCACY WORK

We desire to empower all MOSHAPE members to advocate for healthy schools and students. As a part of this work, we will create advocacy materials to be used by all members as they advocate for MOSHAPE’s Mission and Vision at the local, state, and national levels. We encourage MOSHAPE members to monitor legislative and policy issues of interest and importance to physical activity, health, and physical education in schools. We will also provide additional advocacy materials for members in the MOSHAPE portal.

NATIONAL ADVOCACY OPPORTUNITIES

SHAPE America coordinates Speak Out Day every year for health and physical educators across the country to join voices to advocate for health and physical education.

MONITOR MISSOURI LEGISLATION

MOSHAPE members can monitor legislation activities in Jefferson City for legislative and policy issues centered on health and physical education in Missouri schools.
